The Austin Film Society (AFS) welcomes Los Angeles’ famed Pan African Film Festival (PAFF) for its 4th annual Austin series, presenting a selection of the most acclaimed films from PAFF’s February festival. 

Play It Loud, winner of the PAFF 2026 juried award for “Best First Feature Documentary”, has been selected, screening at the famed Austin Film Society Cinema, featuring a panel discussion with the filmmakers following the screening.

Plan your Valentine’s weekend with love and soul as Play it Loud! How Toronto Got Soul will be premiering on TV across Canada on Sunday February 16th at 9PM on TVO, and February 28th on Knowledge Network!

Leading up to and in support of the TV premiere, Play it Loud star, Jay Douglas, will be performing at 2 Toronto iconic hotbeds of music: February 14th (6PM) with an in-store performance at the legendary Sonic Boom record store (be sure to cop the re-release of the sought after Jamaica to Toronto compilation, and get it signed by the man himself) – and special performance by Jay Douglas and the All Stars at The Drake Hotel (9:30PM); grab your tickets now!
